New football apps launched

Today is one of those muggy hot days in London when the air seems to have been used up.

But it’s also a nice day because at work we have launched six new apps for football clubs.

Working alongside TribeHive, fans of these football clubs will be able to connect to each while inside the stadiums, using connectivity and data sharing within the apps. No need for expensive wifi.

Here’s a nice video which does a better job of explaining it.

This is initially a two-month trial. It involves Queens Park Rangers, Middlesbrough, Watford, Bolton, Birmingham, and Brighton.

Let’s see if football fans like it. So far, the immediate feedback has been very positive.

Now I’m off for a cold shower, a chill in a hammock, and a cooling drink served in a tall glass.

On walkabout around the recently opened Hauser & Wirth Arts Centre, in Bruton, Somerset, United Kingdom.

Numerous exhibitions, gardens, sculptures, bar, cafe, restaurant and beautiful, quiet grounds to wander about. Open in July 2014, formerly called Durslade Farm, with Grade II listed farm buildings and barns.

Free admission. More info at the Hauser & Wirth website.

Testing the Closr photo annotation tool

Here’s an interesting tool called Closr which allows you to annotate large photos. You can add comments to specific sections of a large photo, zooming in and out.

For testing purposes here’s a very quick one of inside Liverpool Street train station.

I’m really impressed that it works well on mobile as well as desktop
